Laura is an experienced senior business manager with over 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry across a spectrum of diverse roles.
After studying Law at the University of Aberdeen, she started her professional career training as a Chartered Accountant in London with PwC before moving to work with Deloitte in Edinburgh. She then joined The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), spending 14 years in a range of roles gaining extensive experience in business development, strategy, investment appraisal, cost management, transformational change management and governance and well as leading teams and people development.
Since leaving RBS, Laura has undertaken a number of interim management and consulting roles across a variety of Financial Services companies. She is also a Business Angel, investing in start-ups and working with entrepreneurs to develop their business and personal skills.
Developing individuals and nurturing talent is a passion of Laura’s and she is often recognised as a trusted advisor and counsellor. She is an experienced mentor and coach, working with numerous individuals from start-up entrepreneurs to graduates and senior management. She enjoys working with individuals and teams; supporting, challenging and motivating them achieve their goals and ambitions.
Laura is an executive coach trained at Ros Taylor Company’s coaching school, Corporate Coach International (accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management and the Association for Coaching).
