We’re delighted to announce that Gill Hayward has joined the RTC team as managing director, as part of our ongoing expansion.
Gill, who is originally from Edinburgh, will operate from our London office. She will be responsible for nurturing existing projects and driving new business as we expand our leadership training services in the UK and globally.
Having Gill join the board will allow our founder and CEO, Ros, to focus on enhancing RTC’s global proposition in the US and China. Ros will also focus on delivering the company’s bespoke coaching proposition and quality management. In December, RTC was awarded ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.
Experienced business leader
Gill is an experienced business leader. She has shaped the strategic direction of the commercial and sales teams at some of the UK’s leading broadcasters including Viacom and Channel 5.
In 2010, she co-created YUUbag, a unique activity backpack for children with a fold-down desk and multiple compartments and pockets. Two years later, Gill pitched the bag on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, winning investment from Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden.
Over the last eight years as co-founder and director, Gill has helped grow her brand and develop its sales internationally.
The next phase for RTC
Gill said: “I’m excited to join the team at RTC as the company expands its offering in the UK and globally. I’m looking forward to bringing my wealth of commercial experience to lead the next phase of business and client development. And building upon the fantastic growth delivered by the team in 2018.”
Ros added: “Gill is a commercial operator with an eye for identifying strategic opportunities and driving businesses forward. Her experience in senior roles and across multiple sectors will be a huge asset to RTC. Her appointment as managing director will help take us forward during a very exciting time for the company.”
In 2018, RTC carried out leadership training programmes across the world with events in the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Mexico, the US, the Cayman Islands, Japan and China. In recent years, more than 1,000 people and many companies have benefitted from RTC’s leadership training services.
In November, RTC unveiled a new brand; with a new logo, website and updated company name – having formerly been known as Ros Taylor Company. With a growing team, it also expanded into new offices in Edinburgh.
